la KTM 1290 Super Adventure S es la moto del segmento Adventure de más altas prestaciones de la firma austríaca. El V-Twin LC8 tiene con 160 CV y 138 Nm de par motor y su  entrega de potencia permite a la KTM 1290 Super Adventure S viajar relajadamente, internarse en el caos del tráfico o devorar autopistas con alegría.

El compacto corazón de la moto está cuidadosamente regulado por uno de los paquetes de gestión electrónica más avanzados de KTM: administra la configuración y reacción de las suspensiones, la altura de pilotaje, el ABS, los modos de pilotaje, la gestión de la presión de los neumáticos, el sistema antidive y mucho más. Esta unidad se ubica dentro de un ligero chasis de acero inoxidable al cromo-molibdeno de 10 kg, perfeccionado para ofrecer un excelente comportamiento tanto en las cortas y rápidas escapadas como en los viajes de larga distancia.

El resto del equipamiento es propio de una motocicleta de alta gama creada para viajar: las luces LED, la cúpula y su sistema de regulación rediseñados, el asiento en varias piezas y el ligero caballete lateral de aluminio. Esta lista de especificaciones ya ha sido ampliamente acogida con entusiasmo. La KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE S puede equiparse aún más con paquetes electrónicos opcionales, un Quickshifter+ y componentes WP Suspension Pro, entre otras opciones de mejora.
