Billy Bolt, piloto de Husqvarna Factory Racing, se pasará al enduro clásico este fin de semana en la primera prueba del Campeonato del Mundo FIM EnduroGP 2023. Celebrado en San Remo/Arma di Taggia en Italia, la prueba se abrirá con un Super Test el viernes 31 de marzo por la noche, seguido de dos días de carreras por las montañas del noroeste del país.

Recién llegado de su dominante temporada de SuperEnduro, en la que ganó todas y cada una de las rondas para hacerse con su tercer título mundial consecutivo, Bolt llega a la primera parada del campeonato EnduroGP de siete rondas con la intención de ganar un valioso tiempo de pilotaje compitiendo al aire libre, antes del comienzo del Campeonato del Mundo FIM de Hard Enduro. En su participación como wild card, Bolt pilotará su Husqvarna Motorcycles FE 350 en la categoría Enduro2, la misma máquina con la que ganó este año en pista cubierta.

Billy Bolt correrá la primera carrera de EnduroGP en Italia

Bolt ya ha tenido éxito en competiciones de EnduroGP, consiguiendo un podio en E2 en 2021, y una victoria en Super Test seguida de un top-10 en E3 el año pasado. Al llegar a la ronda de apertura de la temporada 2023, el británico es plenamente consciente del nivel de los pilotos en el campeonato, pero todavía planea dar el 100 por ciento y utilizar el fin de semana para ayudar a prepararse para los largos y exigentes eventos en el Campeonato Mundial FIM de Hard Enduro.

Billy Bolt: "Estoy emocionado de volver a competir este fin de semana, siempre es bueno mezclar las cosas y tener un cambio. Es genial correr en Italia también, los aficionados italianos son siempre muy acogedores y el ambiente allí es increíble. No hay presión, yo pedí correr para hacer algo diferente, así que afrontaré el fin de semana con el objetivo de divertirme corriendo con mi moto más que con cualquier otra cosa. Estoy seguro de que una vez allí, la adrenalina empezará a subir y querré darlo todo como siempre, pero no hay objetivos fijos en cuanto a resultados”.

“Sé que los chicos entrenan muy duro para este campeonato, así que no me hago ilusiones. Después de una temporada de SuperEnduro, estoy deseando tener dos días largos de competición sobre la moto, eso debería ayudarme a prepararme bien para la dura temporada de hard enduro que se avecina".
