Gracias a su diseño y características de seguridad, la serie VFX de SHOEI siempre ha estado al frente de la industria de los cascos Off-Road. Ahora, con el nuevo Shoei VFX-WR 06, la compañía japonesa ha vuelto a subir el listón en lo que se refiere a fiabilidad, y destaca que cumple ya con la exigente homologación ECE 22/06.

Sin ir más lejos, la estructura de la calota ha sido fabricada aplicando la tecnología exclusiva de Shoei AIM+, formada por varias fibras de vidrio, fibras orgánicas y fibras de alto rendimiento que le aportan a la calota un peso muy ligero y una rigidez óptima. Asimismo, y además de mantener la construcción clásica del EPS (adsorción de impactos) con materiales de doble densidad y canalizaciones internas para obtener el máximo rendimiento de refrigeración interna del casco, el nuevo VFX-WR incorpora un mecanismo de revestimiento para reducir la aceleración rotacional a la cabeza M.E.D.S.

Shoei VFX-WR 06: Un casco off-road de altos vuelos

Sistema de distribución de energía de movimiento M.E.D.S

Shoei ha desarrollado un nuevo mecanismo de revestimiento de absorción de impactos para el nuevo VFX-WR. Una versión más avanzada de los revestimientos convencionales de doble capa. Mientras que la capa principal de EPS absorbe el impacto del exterior como de costumbre, la parte insertada en el revestimiento EPS se encarga de reducir la energía de aceleración rotacional a la cabeza al oscilar la parte insertada de los revestimientos EPS en caso de accidente -se ha logrado reducir este valor en un 15% en comparación con el VFX-W (Valor obtenido en tests internos de Shoei)-.

También está equipado con el sistema de emergencia de extracción rápida E.Q.R.S. Este sistema permite al personal médico extraer fácilmente los acolchados laterales del casco del piloto accidentado. Una vez extraídos los acolchados laterales, es posible retirar el casco con seguridad de la cabeza del piloto sin tener que forzar el área del cuello evitando así posibles lesiones.
