Si estás conectado a Enduropro, es porque te apasiona el mundo de las motos de campo. Y, ¿quién de nosotros no ha soñado alguna vez con ser piloto oficial de carreras? Pues bien, ahora Yamaha, a través del Ténéré Spirit Experience, nos brinda la oportunidad de hacer realidad ese sueño. He tenido el gran privilegio de sumergirme en esta experiencia y quiero compartir con vosotros mis impresiones. El Ténéré Spirit Experience te ofrece la posibilidad de sentirte como un piloto oficial, por algo menos de 10.000 euros, eligiendo entre la Africa Eco Race, Morocco Desert Challenge o la Transanatolia. Lo que hemos experimentado es una muestra reducida pero llena de la pasión que caracteriza al equipo oficial, donde están integrados Pol Tarrés (el gran fenómeno mediático con sus espectaculares videos en redes) y Ales Botturi.

El mes pasado asistimos a la presentación de las nuevas T700 Extreme y Explore de Yamaha en Barcelona. Durante el evento, también tuvimos la oportunidad de familiarizarnos con una unidad equipada con el kit 2. Ahora, Yamaha nos invita a descubrir toda la gama de accesorios para sus modelos Ténéré 700 World Raid con el stage 3, y a ponerlos a prueba en el desafiante terreno del desierto de Marruecos.

Los accesorios GYTR para Yamaha Ténéré 700

Las siglas GYTR, acrónimo de Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing, pueden sonar peculiar a primera vista. Sin embargo, la 'R' representa la palabra 'Racing', lo cual automáticamente provoca una gran sonrisa y la promesa de excitantes sensaciones. Yamaha ha desarrollado una gama de piezas de alto rendimiento en colaboración con el equipo de rallyes oficial, creando tres kits para convertir la Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid en una verdadera bestia de competición con mayor rendimiento del motor y un chasis ajustado para ofrecer verdaderas capacidades de rally.

    1. Performance Kit. Se centra en la maniobrabilidad y la estabilidad. Incluye escape Akrapovic de titanio, caja de filtro de aire más grande y de espuma lavable, tapa de embrague, Stage 1 ECU que aumenta en 9 CV la potencia y estriberas de titanio de rally.

    2. Handling Kit: Estabilidad y maniobrabilidad. Incluye ruedas preparadas para mousse, kit de frenos de 300/267 mm, guardabarros alto, radiador de aceite y kit de refrigeración, protector del radiador, suspensiones regulables de 48 mm en la horquilla Kayaba, amortiguador Paioli y la ECU 2.

    3. Kit de Rally: Componentes de rally de alta gama. Incluye tanques de combustible de gran capacidad (37,6 litros), kit de manillar de rally y pantalla, permitiendo la instalación de instrumentos de road book, faros de alto rendimiento, kits de adhesivos Africa Eco Race replica, protectores de carbono, cubremanetas, asiento y todos los componentes necesarios para participar en rally y raids competitivos.

En lo que respecta al Kit 1, considero que es fundamental para cualquier propietario de Ténéré adquirir la tapa del embrague, ya que la de serie resulta incómoda y ancha si vamos de pie. En contraste, esta referencia es más estrecha y sitúa la leva más adelantada, lo que proporciona una mayor comodidad y libertad de movimientos encima de la moto.

En cuanto a las estriberas, a veces no agarraban suficientemente bien para mi gusto. Personalmente prefiero las originales, que se asemejan más a las de enduro. Sobre la entrega de potencia, me gustaría ajustar la curva para obtener un poco más de respuesta inicial. Sin embargo, entiendo que esto es una preferencia personal y confío en que se pueda adaptar fácilmente a través de las curvas de potencia.

En el caso del Kit 2, creo que la opción ideal para usuarios que no tengan intención de competir debería ser la WORLD RAID kit 2, equipada con un depósito grande, que probamos recientemente en Barcelona. Al no incluir todo lo necesario para competición, como lo hace el Kit 3, se aligera considerablemente la moto. Solo los depósitos traseros suponen una reducción de peso de 14 kg.

Por último, el Kit 3 lleva las cosas aún más lejos con una serie de componentes de rally de alta gama. Los precios de los kits son los siguientes: Stage 1 4895 euros, Stage 2 10.904 euros, Stage 3 7587 euros.

A esto habría que añadir el IVA, unas 50 horas de mano de obra y, claro, también la unidad base de Ténéré 700 World Raid si no tienes una... Puede parecer un importe muy alto, pero estaríamos adquiriendo la misma moto que los pilotos oficiales de la marca, aunque lógicamente la diferencia la marcan los ajustes de los pilotos y las continuas evoluciones de piezas, como basculante más largo, etc. Además, según nos comentaban, ¡hay lista de espera!, lo que demuestra la gran demanda de estos kits. Algo a destacar es que incluso con el stage 3, la moto sí está homologada para circular legalmente.

En Marruecos

Para seguir poniendo en valor la experiencia vivida en Errachidia nos acompañaron durante los 2 días como guías de lujo, la leyenda del enduro y los rallyes Stephane Peterhansel, Pol Tarrés (y el team que recientemente han ganado la Morocco Desert Challenge ‘24), también Andréa (mujer de Peter, ex piloto de rallyes y directora deportiva del team), Botturi, Marc Bourgeois (Team Manager) y el gran Jordi Arcarons. Además en nuestro grupo nos acompañó la piloto española de Yamaha y embajadora de la marca, Sara García. Y con el equipo al completo continuamente pendientes de nosotros y llegando a los diferentes puntos de enlace. Pudimos rodar unos 300 kms entre ambos días por terrenos muy diferentes, pistas, wadis, chotts, dunas, ríos de arena, fesh fesh…

La moto se comporta excepcionalmente bien en todos ellos, teniendo que adaptar el piloto la conducción en cada caso. El motor bicilíndrico es una delicia y no se queda corto en ningún momento. Es muy suave y controlable con muy pocas vibraciones y la ECU le da un carácter racing muy diferente al de la Extreme que íbamos intercambiando en los diferentes tramos. A pesar del peso, es manejable y ágil y los frenos muy potentes e impecables en tacto. El peso total son 230 kg llena de gasolina, con los depósitos traseros incluidos (194 kg sin gasolina pero con agua y aceite).

Además, pudimos admirar una de las Ténéré clásicas con la que PeterHansel ganó varios Dakar (6 en la categoría de motos) y estas cargaban hasta 70 litros (!) por las características de las antiguas reglas de competición. Es importante destacar que todas las unidades estaban equipadas con neumáticos Michelin Desert Race en la parte trasera y Enduro Medium en la delantera.

En pistas de altas velocidades y gas a fondo, a veces experimentas tanta estabilidad y aplomo que no puedes relajarte, y debes permanecer atento porque todo ocurre muy rápido. Puedes encontrarte con alguna piedra o con camel grass, sin mencionar el polvo que dificulta la visibilidad en ocasiones. A pesar de esto, la moto es capaz de tragarse casi cualquier roca o irregularidad inesperada.

El problema para los pilotos de talla media/baja se agrava debido a la altura de las suspensiones oficiales y al peso general de la moto. Sin embargo, este problema se soluciona fácilmente teniendo la altura de Pol, además de su habilidad y excelente forma física que facilita mucho la conducción... Es cierto que en el Erg (mar de dunas) podría echarse de menos una monocilíndrica más ligera y manejable, pero en pistas rápidas la estabilidad y potencia cambian por completo la perspectiva.

Es difícil y delicado valorar o criticar una moto que representa tantas horas de desarrollo, viajes, pruebas y trabajo por parte de un grupo de pilotos, staff, ingenieros y mecánicos. Solo puedo compartir mis impresiones y detalles personales de estos dos días de pruebas. Además, valoro y respeto enormemente el arduo trabajo de este equipo.

Para mí, lo mejor de los kit es que se ofrezcan las piezas, y sobre todo la posibilidad de comprar referencias por separado (como la mencionada tapa de embrague), además que al final (si vas hasta el final) es una transformación de la moto como la oficial de carreras. En contra, las estriberas no me convencieron tanto (puedes montar otras, a gusto) y que además del precio del kit hay muchas horas de mano de obra.

También valoro mucho la parte posterior a las rutas, cuando ya estamos relajados con una cerveza en la mano, escuchando a los pilotos compartir planes futuros y aventuras pasadas. Por suerte, tuvimos tiempo para un poco de turismo, ya que visitamos las antiguas canalizaciones de agua de los bereberes y nos encontramos con algunos ¿camellos o dromedarios?… ¡yo que sé!
