La nueva KTM 1290 Super Adventure S introduce en su versión 2021 una parte ciclo revisada que mejora aún más la distribución del peso y la agilidad de marcha. Se ha logrado un tacto en curvas más preciso desplazando la columna de dirección 15 mm hacia atrás y reubicando la sección delantera del motor. Además, el basculante más largo con refuerzos a la vista contribuye a un tacto más estable en la fase de aceleración. El subchasis trasero ha sido modificado para proporcionar una altura de asiento más baja sin sacrificar ni su resistencia ni su practicidad.

Alrededor del piloto encontramos un nuevo depósito de combustible de 23 litros, sin llave mecánica y una carrocería que aumenta la sensación de agilidad de la moto. Cada centímetro de la carrocería ha sido analizado para que no interfiera en el pilotaje. Proporcionando un confort adicional para los viajes largos, el nuevo asiento es ahora de dos niveles y ajustable en altura en 20 mm. También se pueden ajustar las manetas, la completamente nuevo instrumentación TFT y la cúpula, que ha sido desarrollada a través de pruebas en el túnel de viento y se puede desplazar 55 mm. En general, la KTM 1290 Super Adveture S brilla por su bajo centrado de masas y su refinado reparto de pesos. Es una moto que pide ser pilotada con garra o acariciada para recorrer velozmente largos trayectos.
